In the last four years, ALE’s South Africa branch has secured the heavylifting scope for all Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) project contracts across the region.
Since ALE won the first contracts, which started simultaneously in 2013, ALE has successfully won and completed six CSP projects across South Africa. All projects included transport and installation of the heavy components using various techniques and equipment, such as cranes, fixed gantries, hydraulic gantries, jacking and skidding, and SPMT transportation.
Johann Van Zyl, Head of Sales – South Africa, believes that it is ALE’s experience and track record that enables ALE to stand out amongst their competitors: “As we offer the widest range of solutions for installation on site and the largest fleet of multi-axle trailers in South Africa, we can therefore deliver more components over a shorter period of time. Combined with our custom gantry systems and one of the most experienced teams of engineers, we can offer more solutions than our competitors.”
The final contract in Kathu was completed in October.
