Invested and developed by Beijing Shouhang IHW Resources Saving Technology Co., Ltd (SunCan, its CSP co-compnay), SunCan Dunhuang 10MW molten salt tower CSP plant comes to commissioning stage, and will get on to grid and operate very soon by the end of this year.
As reported by CSP Focus earlier, the 10MW plant is the 1st Phase project by SunCan, and started construction in August 2014. With total investment of RMB 420 million, the project is equipped with 15 hours storage system, taking 5,800 tons of molten salt, over 1,500 heliostats and 130m tower. The project is expected to be China 1st CSP plant which could operate 24 hours/day.
Together with the 1st Phase of 10MW plant, the 2nd Phase of 100MW MS Tower plant broke ground in November 2015, and it has been selected as one of China 1st stage 20 CSP pilot projects, enjoying FiT of RMB1.15/kWh. And resources say the 3rd Phase of 300MW has been planned and signed investment agreement with local government.
