Researchers at CSP Today have completed work on the brand new guide to the emerging CSP market in South Africa.
Hours of research has resulted in the general release of this resource, which frames the development of the CSP industry since the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Programme (REIPPP) was proposed in 2010.
This exclusive guide examines three main areas of the South African CSP market, looking at how delays to Round I and II projects could impact future growth and assesses the long-term challenges and opportunities in this region. Furthermore, this resource provides critical information on plants under development in South Africa including size, location, companies involved and technologies used.
In a recent interview Jack Ahearne, the leading researcher at CSP Today, said that “it goes without saying that the CSP industry in South Africa is making some fantastic progress. However, there are substantial roadblocks that must be overcome, and this is clearly evident in the current delays seen in Round I of the REIPPP”. Ahearne added that “the CSP South Africa Guide 2012-13 puts these challenges into perspective, as well as identifies the future opportunities for developers in this region”.
