Royal Tech 50MW thermal oil trough CSP project in Yumen, China announced the winning bidder of turbine and generator. Dongfang Steam Turbine Co., Ltd. and Dongfang Electrical Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as DFEM) affiliated with Dongfang Electric Corporation became the final winner of steam turbine and generator respectively.

According to CSPPLAZA previously reported,  turbine suppliers involved in the project bidding include:

  1. Hangzhou Steam Turbine Co., Ltd.
  2. Siemens (China) Co., Ltd.
  3. Harbin Turbine Co., Ltd.
  4. Dongfang Electric Group Dongfang Steam Turbine Co., Ltd.
  5. Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd.
  6. Nanjing Turbine &Electric Machinery (Group) Co., Ltd.

Meanwhile, generator suppliers who submitted the bid are:

  1. Shandong Jinan Power Equipment Factory Co., Ltd.
  2. Wolong Electric Nanyang Explosion Protection Group Co., Ltd.
  3. Dongfang Electric Group Dongfang Electrical Machinery Co., Ltd
  4. Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd.
  5. Nanjing Turbine &Electric Machinery (Group) Co., Ltd.

It’s worthy to mention that it is the third time that DFEM wins the bid of steam turbine. Except for Royal Tech 50MW Yumen Trough project, it has also won the contract of both Northwest Institute 50MW Hami molten salt project and CGNPC 50MW Delingha project.
