Today has launched its 7th International Concentrated Solar Thermal Power Summit, in which the main stakeholders gather to discuss the future of the industry.
Sevilla will host for the 7th time the International Concentrated Solar Thermal Power Summit (CSP Today Sevilla) on the 12-13th November 2013. After the withdrawal of government support to renewables in Spain this year, the conference is crucial for the industry to define the next strategies to keep growing.
The 2013 conference will also welcome for the first time the participation of the mining, oil and desalination sectors, with speakers including the World Petroleum Council, the International Desalination Association and the Saline Water Conversion Corporation from Saudi Arabia. These industries are currently looking for alternative sources of power generation to fuel both their remote located placements and thermal processes.
CSP Today Sevilla is the premier meeting place globally for the concentrated solar power industry. Developers Island Renewable Energy describe it as “the hub of CSP knowledge”, and organizers expect 500 CSP executives in attendance.
Among the leading developers confirmed are ACWA Power, Abengoa, Acciona Energía and E.On. Top executives from these companies will be presenting their insights on the most important CSP challenges as establishing local partnerships in emerging markets and securing finance for new projects.
The event will be part of the International CSP Week which will run from the 11th to the 14th November. It includes the 3rd CSP Today Enhanced Plant Engineering Conference & Expo, a site visit to Plataforma Solar de Almería and the CSP Today Awards Dinner 2013.
