The German Aerospace Center (DLR) has produced 55 videos to serve as capacity building courses for concentrating solar power (CSP) specialists in nations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
DLR’s videos focus on the fundamentals of CSP project planning, construction and maintenance, as well as the optimization of CSP plants.

These videos focus on the fundamentals of CSP project planning, construction and maintenance, as well as the optimization of CSP plants. They cover a spectrum of issues, including fundamentals of line and point focusing technologies, solar resources assessment and project planning and yield analysis.
Over 100 people have already attended enerMENA. DLR has offered capacity building courses through the enerMENA program since 2010. The enerMENA course and video tutorials are intended for engineers and technicians who work with CSP projects, students interested in doing so and university professors in the enerMENA partner nations.
The agency notes that over 100 people have already attended enerMENA courses at the Platforma Solar de Almería CSP plant in Spain and in partner nations Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia and Jordan.The videos range between five and 90 minutes, and are produced in English.
