On the morning of April 28, the groundbreaking ceremony of Royal Tech Urat 100MW Trough CSP project was grandly held in Urat, Inner Mongolia.
Royal Tech Urat 100MW Trough CSP project, covering an area of 1250 acres, is located in Urat, Inner Mongolia, with a total investment of RMB2.8 billion. This project was listed in China’s first batch of CSP demonstration projects by National Energy Administration. At present, this project is one of China’s trough projects which has the largest installed capacity, the most advanced technology and the largest investment.

The investor of this project is Inner Mongolia CNI Royal Tech New Energy Co., Ltd. Shareholders are Nanjing CNI Energy Engineering Company Limited and Royal Tech CSP Limited. The engineering survey & design department is North China Power Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group.
This project adopts parabolic trough CSP technology, which is a pretty mature technology route. Localization rate of key equipment reaches at 100%. The project will build a new 100MW steam turbogenerator set, which will be equipped with 375 loops. The heat medium will use conduction oil. And the project will have a 10-hour molten salt storage system. The project construction period is from 2017 to 2018, two years in total. It is predicted that the project will go into operation at the end of 2018.
