Spain’s Iberdrola SA (BME:IBE) is seeking a buyer for its 50-MW Puertollano concentrated solar power (CSP) plant in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha, local daily El Economista reports.

The newspaper says the particular plant could fetch between EUR 100 million (USD 118m) and EUR 150 million based on the valuation of other similar facilities in Spain.

Just recently, Acciona SA (BME:ANA) sold a 250-MW solar thermal power portfolio at home to ContourGlobal Plc (LON:GLO) for an enterprise value of EUR 962 million, including a cash payment of EUR 806 million and the assumption of EUR 156 million in existing net debt.

The sale of the Puertollano plant would be part of Iberdrola’s plan to shed EUR 3 billion worth of assets, including cogeneration facilities in Spain, combined cycle plants in the UK and its engineering business, the report says further.
