Rackam has developed a concentrating solar thermal system for industrial use and started producing and commercializing its product.
On September 17th, 2012, Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions announced that Rackam Inc. (Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada) has received CAD 250,000 (USD 256,500) in funding for the commercialization of its concentrating solar power systems (CSP).

The repayable funding has been awarded under the Quebec Economic Development Program. "By lending its financial support to Rackam, the Government of Canada is once again acknowledging the fundamental role businesses play in creating jobs and growing regional economies," stated Denis Lebel, minister of transport, infrastructure and communities and minister of the economic development agency of Canada for the regions of Quebec.
