Among China’s 1st batch of 20 pilot CSP projects, Royal Tech CSP Co., Ltd joins two of the 7 parabolic trough plants as developer and co-investor.

China Nuclear Royal Tech Urlatech 100MW CSP project is one of the two projects. This 100MW CSP project is located in Inner Mongolia, West China, with total investment of RMB 2.8 billion, including 375 loops and 10 hours’ molten salt thermal storage. The project had broken ground in April 2017 and is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2018.

Royal Tech Yumen 50MW CSP project, the other project of the two, will take silicone oil as the heat transfer fluid, which will be offered by Wacker Chemical, and contains 9 hours’ molten salt thermal storage. The total investment of this project is RMB 1.5 billion.

Royal Tech starts its CSP journey with receiver tube R&D and manufacturing, and now is a leading CSP receiver tube manufacturer in China and worldwide. During the upcoming CSP Focus China Tour on Nov 5-14, the delegation will get chances to visit the receiver tube manufacturing line in Changzhou, and communicate on the progress of the CSP pilot projects Royal Tech involved in.

Besides, the delegation will also get opportunities to visit other CSP pilot plant developers & EPCs including Shouhang IHW, Supcon Solar, Rayspower, NWEPDI Northwest Electric Power Design Institute, Jiangsu Xinchen, and North China Power Engineering etc. And the delegation will also fly to Dunhuang, west China, to have a close eye on the operational 1st phase of 10MW CSP plant, and the 2nd phase of 100MW CSP plant under construction, both are developed by Shouhang IHW Energy Saving Company.
