CSP Today’s MENASOL conference (6-7 May, Dubai) has confirmed a delegation from the Saudi Arabian Oil company, Saudi Aramco, to network with key solar companies as they begin to expand their renewable energy portfolio.
Saudi Aramco, the Kingdom’s leading oil and gas producer, are expanding their renewable energy sector and are expended to play a huge role in the emerging solar industry in Saudi Arabia. In a recent webinar on CSP project development in Saudi Arabia hosted by CSP Today, Reda El Chaar, Managing Director of Access Consultants predicted that Saudi Aramco would be one of the key off takers for solar energy in the Kingdom, alongside Saudi Electricity Company and others.
Reda El Chaar also predicts ACWA Power as having the largest market share as a local developer for future CSP projects in the Kingdom, followed by MENA Infra Fund and Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC).
Saudi Aramco will be attending MENASOL to meet and network with both the international and local CSP and PV communities in the conference this may. Amongst other key Saudi companies attending MENASOL that are also expanding their renewables portfolio, Saudi Aramco will be joined by key representatives from ACWA Power and GIC.
