The financing was arranged by BTG Pactual for the construction and operation of Chile’s Cerro Dominador, a 110 MW concentrated solar power (CSP)plant.

Shearman & Sterling LLP said it advised Abengoa Solar Chile SA as the borrower in connection with a $205 million bridge financing related to the Cerro Dominador Concentrated Solar Power project.

The financing was arranged by BTG Pactual for the construction and operation of Chile’s Cerro Dominador, a 110 MW concentrated solar power plant, the law firm said in a statement.

The Shearman & Sterling team included partner Gregory Tan and counsel Alexandro M. Padres, who practice in the area of project development and finance.

The plant, in Chile’s Atacama Desert, will be the first solar-thermal plant for direct electricity production in South America, the firm said in the statement. The project is part of the Chilean government’s national renewable energy development program.
