Hargett will be focused principally on business development in the engineering and design of utility-scale solar installations as well as supporting the sale and deployment of a number of software products for the solar

Hargett previously spent five years as head of Business Development with Blue Green Capital, a solar photovoltaic development company based in La Rochelle, France.

The company, which has developed software solutions to aid project developers at the conceptual design phase, through to the day-to-day operations of the plant, says Hargett is its 18th employee.

In as little as two years, Sun to Market Solutions has established itself in several key markets, including USA, Nothern Africa, India and Spain, in order to service the needs of the burgeoning CSP sector.

Sun to Market has licensed its STP4 plant model to Lauren

Sun to Market Solutions, a CSP design and software firm, has announced that they have licensed their plant production tool, the STP4, to Lauren Engineers and Contractors of Abilene Texas.

S2M’s STP4 model has been in development for over two years and the sale is the first software licensing agreement to be signed by S2M in the US market.

"This is a big step for us in the US and certainly a validation that there is a strong market for products that enhance operational efficiency" says Bill Hargett, S2M’s Managing Director of North America. "We also believe that this is a great endorsement of our product by a US firm that has been a trendsetter in the CSP engineering space. We’re looking forward to rolling-out additional CSP modeling software for other tier-one EPC firms like Lauren."

"Lauren is excited to have the STP4 plant production tool in our suite of products." Says Clint Rosenbaum, Vice President of Engineering for Lauren. "We are continually looking to upgrade capabilities that we offer to our clients and STP4 will allow us to more accurately determine solar plant production which will translate into better defined expectations and output for our clients. The flexibility of the software and the ability to tailor the model to our project needs was what sold us on the tool."

Lauren is one of the United State’s leading solar thermal EPC companies and has led the construction of a number of large-scale plants including the 64 MW Nevada Solar One parabolic trough project in Las Vegas (completed 2007) and the 75MW parabolic trough Martin Next Generation Solar Project for Florida Power and Light in Indiantown, Florida., Lauren is also involved as the EPCM on a 25MW solar project for Cargo Power & Infrastructure in Gujarat India.

Sun to Market Solutions (S2M) is a rapidly growing CSP design and optimization firm with offices in Madrid, Bangalore, and Sunnyvale, California. S2M’s STP4, is one product in a suite of tools that they have developed for the CSP market, which also includes the Solar Solver 2.0 software.
