VC-funded micro concentrated solar power firm Sopogy has shut down its operations and is liquidating its assets according to Pacific Business News.
Keahole Solar Power, which was once part of Sopogy Inc. — the solar energy company founded by Darren Kimura that recently shut down— has canceled its power purchase agreement with Hawaiian Electric.
Chevron USA Inc. will to construct and operate a concentrating solar thermal power plant (CSP) at the Chevron Kapolei Refinery in Oahu, Hawaii.
Chevron Corp.’s Hawaii operation is planning to develop a solar thermal demonstration project at its Kapolei refinery.
Keahole will use 9520 concentrating solar thermal panels from Sopogy Inc.
