Israeli HelioFocus and Chinese Sanhua signed on May 2012 a Memorandum of Understanding to launch the first commercial concentrating solar thermal power project in Asia with a Chinese Energy Company.
HelioFocus signed an agreement with Sanhua to begin construction in 2013 on a 10-megawatt concentrated solar power facility in Inner Mongolia, for the Chinese energy company TaiQing.
While reducing the solar field size needed by 30%, it presents the best performance, installation & environmental efficiencies, offering the lowest LCOE provides today in CSP industry.
