Torresol Energy, a company created by the engineering and technology group SENER and the alternative energy company from Abu Dhabi MASDAR, dedicated to the operation and maintenance of solar thermal power plants, participates in the 14th International Conference on Energy and Mineral Resources, where it will give a presentation on the Gemasolar plant, the first solar thermal power plant to use, on a commercial scale, the configuration of a central tower together with a molten salt thermal storage system, and the first plant in the world able to produce energy 24 hours a day exclusively through solar power.

On Wednesday 11 April, Raúl Mendoza, Manager of the Gemasolar plant will participate in this conference with a lecture entitled ‘Gemasolar: a solar thermal power plant with energy storage’, in which he will explain the benefits of this pioneering solar thermal power plant and its innovative technology.

Under the slogan “Maintaining the future”, the 14th International Conference on Energy and Mineral Resources aims to establish a framework for debate in which everyone and all companies involved in the different fields of mining engineering look for sustainable solutions to the current technological challenges.
