SUPCON Delingha 50MW CSP molten salt tower project (6 hours storage), one of China 1st Phase 20 pilot CSP projects (9 tower), welcomed its turbine bidding yesterday on Feb.13. Four bidders were invited for this tender, which covers steam turbine, generator, auxiliary equipment, and services like installation and commissioning. Results are expected to come out soon.

Mr. JIN Jianxiang, Chairman of the owner and developer SUPCON Solar, has confirmed to speak on the project progress during CSP Focus China 2017 Mar.23-24 Beijing conference. As Mr. Jin says to CSP Focus, the 50MW project officially broke ground last October, just near to the site of its built 10MW demonstration plant. The project is expected to be lead the construction of China 1st phase 1.349GW pilot CSP projects. Positively, the investment could be controlled within RMB 1 billion thanks to SUPCON’s experience in both technology and construction, and the decreasing cost of components.
