FCC has reached an agreement with Plenium Partners to sell 51% of its subsidiary FCC energy, which includes wind power assets, concentrated solar thermal power (CSP) and photovoltaic (PV).
The concentrating solar power plant will produce 100,000 MWh of electricity per year, meeting the needs of 26,000 people.
FCC commences construction of its concentrated solar power plant in Villena (Alicante), which will create over 750 jobs.
FCC and Japanese company Mitsui, partners in the Gúzman solar thermal power plant project, have closed funding for the project with a 226 million euro loan.
